House Scouts

Scout terms

These terms explain how the House Scout network operates. They are written in plain English and should be reviewed by your own legal and tax adviser before you take part.

1. Independent status

Scouts are independent individuals, not employees, workers or agents of House of Summerfield. You are responsible for your own taxes and any local registration requirements.

2. No guarantee of missions or income

Acceptance into the Scout network does not guarantee sourcing missions, regular work or income. Missions are offered only when the House genuinely needs an item in your area.

3. Authorised purchases only

You must never purchase anything on behalf of House of Summerfield without a written purchase authorisation for that specific mission. Receiving a bounty, accepting a bounty, finding stock or uploading a receipt does not authorise a purchase.

Each authorisation states the exact quantity, the maximum price per item and the maximum total. If the price in store is higher, stop and request further approval. Unauthorised purchases and spending above the authorised amount will not be reimbursed.

4. Reimbursement and rewards

The product cost and agreed shipping cost are reimbursed separately from your Scout reward. Only the reward is your earnings. Reimbursement is made after House of Summerfield has verified the receipt and the item.

5. Evidence and honesty

Stock reports must be accurate and supported by genuine photographs or video taken by you. Receipts must be authentic and match the authorised purchase. Any fabricated evidence results in immediate removal from the network.

6. Item handling

Items must be kept in original condition and packaging, packed carefully and shipped using the method agreed in the authorisation. Tracking must be provided.

7. Confidentiality

Customer information is never shared with Scouts. Bounty details, pricing and House sourcing activity are confidential and must not be shared publicly or resold to other buyers.

8. Conduct and ending the relationship

Scouts must act lawfully and respectfully with retailers. House of Summerfield may pause or end a Scout relationship at any time, and a Scout may withdraw at any time.
